Is there a phone # for the Summit that I can leave at home, just incase someone will need to get us? Thanks!

Straight from Celebrity's website (I am sure it will help if your caller knows the name of your ship):

 

Your friends and family can contact the ship by calling (877) 266-1020, or from outside the U.S. they can call (732) 335-3296. The cost is $7.95 USD a minute and can be charged to their American Express®, MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover® or Diners Club®, Carte Blanche®, or JCB®. From outside the U.S. additional long distance charges will also apply.

Also your cell phone will probably work on board if you have the cell copmpany enable international roaming. Cost is expensive ($2.50 a minute or more depending on your carrier) but less than the satellite call to the ship mentioned above. But be aware that if you leave your cell phone turned on but don't answer it then you will be charged the $2.50/minuite for all the time that the caller spends leaving a message on voicemail. You'll get no such charge if the phone is off and the call goes direct to voicemail.

 

We usually leave contact instructions that tell our family to go through the following list in order of urgency:

 

1. Email (we check only a few times during the cruise - not every day)

2. Text message - incoming messages are no charge if you wouldn't be charged for them at home, outgoing are 50 cents

3. Call cell phone

4. Call the ship per the instructions in the mahdnc's post above.
