A bunch of kids? I mean is it really that serious to you that others follow the rules? Will your cruise be ruined if people smuggle on booze? If that's the case I really feel sorry for you.

From your rant I take it that you NEVER, EVER knowingly do anything that is against any rule. Is that what you're saying? Because if you do ever break any rule, you're being a hypocrite. Going 1 mile over the posted speed limit is against the law..that's worst than breaking a rule from a cruiseline. Do you ever knowingly go over the speed limit? I mean since you're soooo emphatically against the "evils" of breaking rules.

This point may be true, but if you get caught, do you tell the police officer your will file a formal complaint because you were only "slightly" breaking the law? Do you go into traffic court with the same argument or say that your defence is that other people do it, or do you accept that you got caught?

As I've said before, what really bothers me is the attitude of some posters that say "if I get caught & have it taken away, I'll never cruise with them again". If you get caught breaking the rules, you deserve it, don't complain. If you get away with it, that's no one else's business.

It seems like you are looking for justification of why some people smuggle.......sounds rather childish to me.....if you think about it;)

Nope. Curious. Why go against something you know is against the rules? Just trying to figure out why.

There is NO justification to smuggle. That is why there is a rule. If there were justification it would state it as such in the rule.

See what you do is what other great forum trolls do. You take bits and pieces from OTHER conversations then place them into your own.

Dont take my context from another response and place it in your own conversation.

I do believe someone stated drinks are to expensive. So I addressed that. If they are to expensive dont buy them.

Dont take things so personal just because you choose to clump yourself into the conversation at hand that is pointed to a general group.

As you said no one knows so you can only speak to the general "group" not people specific.

If you want me to speak directly about you I would need to know more about you... and based on what I know about you here I think I will pass on that.

Hopefully that clears that up. However I dont think it will.

I am part of that general group........I smuggle;) I didn't take bits and pieces I quoted what you posted ROFLMAO!!!

All those accusations were what you posted! You would make mama proud you little rule follower:D Can dish it out but when confronted go run behind the apron strings:p:D

Why do you care:confused: You already have us mapped out as loosers who can't afford to cruise.......go with that LMAO!!!!

So your justification is as long as you can get away with doing something against the rule it is ok to do.

So (if you work in an office) I could take your lunch out of the fridge eat it cause lunch was to expensive for me?

I could walk up to your table on a cruise and take your dessert as you didnt pay for it anyway and I wanted to eat dessert now.

that makes no sense. If you think prices are to high then complain. Find another cruise line that does not charge as much. Dont cruise.

However it appears people are STILL cruising even though prices are so high for things.

That is the one of the most irrelevant asinine analogies I've ever heard. Smuggling on board is not anything illegal, just against Carnival's rules. A rule..plain and simple. Many rules are in place to keep people from getting hurt, in this case, no one gets hurt if the rule is broken.

What? Yes what I posted in response to someone else. Apron strings? /sigh Im not hiding behind anything.

Ive addressed it the only thing peole havent addressed is why? Why smuggle?

Drinks are to expensive?

You can smuggle so that is why?

Why? All the answers do not give reason why... they only give an excuse as to why.

So what was your excuse again? So you can drink more and spend more money? Still only an excuse.

Had people just kept it to a low rumble there probably wouldnt be what it has come to. However people took advantage of the system in place. Now see where it has gotten to.

I was quoting the analogy the poster I quoted used. Also, while not literally the "law" when you agree to the terms of the contract with Carnival when you book, you agree to their rules, law, whatever you want to call it.

It's a rule because Carnival wants people to consume booze from them only. They are a business trying to maximize their profits. Good for them. The smugglers are folks trying to minimize their spending. Good for them too, if they can get away with it!

And bragged about it on a blog that Carnival (and most other lines) is rumored to monitor

what's with all the "Why's".... "Why do I smuggle?"..1) It's cheaper than buying on board....it's as simple as that. I speed so I can get to where I'm going faster...simple as that too. Why do you or anyone else even care is the better question?

Then why have the rule? /GASP they just put it there because they need an extra rule to take up space on a piece of paper?

No asinine is an adult trying to justify why they are doing something against the rules. ;)

There is a big difference between breaking a law and a cruiseline policy.......but I think you know that.....

Ive addressed it the only thing peole havent addressed is why? Why smuggle? Because I can, because I want to, and because it makes people like you mad.

You can smuggle so that is why?

Why? All the answers do not give reason why... they only give an excuse as to why. Nope. I've seen some good reasons.

So what was your excuse again? So you can drink more and spend more money? Still only an excuse. My reason is that I can drink in my room while I get ready. I'm bringing liquor I bought from Carnival, so they've already gotten their money.

Had people just kept it to a low rumble there probably wouldnt be what it has come to. However people took advantage of the system in place. Now see where it has gotten to.

People only took advantage as much as Carnival allowed them. Until Carnival takes each and every bit of alcohol, people are still going to try to get away with it.

So by you breaking the rules "just because" you don't think it could possibly have an adverse effect on those that do not?

You dont think speeding may have an adverse effect on someone else?

If you answer no then you would be wrong. There is a reason as you stated rules are in place. They dont just put them there to inconvenience you. So when those rules are broken something has to be affected. Maybe not at that minute, hour or day but possibly some time down the line.

Hence the reason the rule is there. That is why I care.

40 Posts, no cruising history, first cruise in September of this year and you've already made some CC enemies.

Nice! Must be record...

Yeah ! Accept before you begin.........that there are quite a few Carnival cruisers that if you owned a business......you might consider not hiring.

Several drinks in the cabin, using booze that broke the rules, before starting out another drinking binge at the bars (honestly paid for).....wow, what a trustworthy employee which you'd be so proud of.

Stop expecting more ! Just keep those paychecks flowing their way, you silly person ! They ARE covering half of their alcohol consumption !

I agree 100%. This is as far fetched as the power strips causing a fire or using up all the ship's electricity,

I for one am glad that Carnival is eliminating power strips. My cousin and his family lost their house because of a power strip. The power strip exploded and the fire spread so fast, the only thing they could do was get out of the house. Within 3 minutes their house was completely engulfed in flames....yes from a powerstrip. The fire fighters said a powerstrip should be discarded after 2 years. After that they are a major fire hazard.

What's the adverse effect of smuggling beside the risk of having your alcohol taken?

Makes me mad? No sorry, you will have to try a lot harder then that.

You cant drink in your room with alcohol bought via carnival?

Yes and we will continue to see these conversations. Still the rule was taken advantage of and was changed based on a reason. Not just cause the wanted to.

DUDE, not that Kurbs needs me to defend her but you have no idea what you're talking about. She is most definately NOT a troll......she is a thoughtful poster who posts honest responses. What made you such an expert on the posting and personality habits of others on CC........40 posts and zero, zero cruising experience. You are a joke!!!!!

Well, I care because more people don't gamble in the casino, buy more photo's, shop more on ship, and buy 4-5 DOD every day. That is the same affect as someone smuggling...??
