Elite Cocktail Hour - Daywear or Evening Wear

We are booked on the Equinox in November and it will be our first Elite cruise. We are 2nd seating so, I was wondering if I need to be dressed for the evening (either Smart Casual or Formal) or is smart day wear acceptable. Even if it is acceptable, would we feel out of place, or would it be about 1/2 and 1/2 dressed for the evening or still in day wear?

The people going to early seating will be dressed for dinner and the others will be smart casual.:)

On our Equinox cruise, it seemed that those Elites who went early IE: 4:00PM or so (as we did) were not dressed for dinner. Now we did not wear shabby shorts and t-shirts, but we were not dressed for dinner. We actually discussed it with the Hostess who was fine with it. This might be different with each cruise.

On the Solstice TA, most of the people were in Smart Casual. Those who had early dinner started filing in around 5pm in their formal garb, but you are just fine.

Smart casual will be just fine. We always had some show up in shorts and t shirts and sometines in swin suits, sometimes they were allowed in, sometimes,not. You will be very comfortale in smart casual
