Podie Posted May 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2010 I've taken the train from Naples to Pompeii and had to stand in a long line to buy a ticket. Is there any way to buy the ticket beforehand?
euro cruiser Posted May 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2010 There are machines you can use, no need to buy from an agent as long as you know what you need. For Naples to Pompei, you need the Unicocampania fascia 3. The daily ticket costs € 4.70 and you can read about it here: http://www.unicocampania.it/index.php?lang=en¢er=inside&colonna=biglietti&action=1. I don't know of any way to buy a daily ticket ahead of time, I think only longer term passes are available on line, but you might want to dig around on the web site (above) to confirm that. bcnvcanada Posted May 27, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2010 You could purchase tickects at the stand across the street from the port last year. The prop. does speak some english. Be sure to stamp your tickect when first getting on.
CoralReef Posted May 28, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 28, 2010 There was no line at all when we bought our tickets at Circumvesuviana last year.
