If you are a true 'pro', you should be able to earn a living with your expertise on cruising. Someone like say noted maritime author and shipboard lecturer Bill Miller.

The title of the poll should have been, "After how many cruises do you THINK you are a cruise pro?"

 

You can always spot (and hear) the "Cruise Pros".

They have been on about 5 cruises, still call their cabin steward "Stewart", and know so much that they are second guessing the actions and decisions of the Captain, the Chief Engineer, and the President of the Cruise Line.

If you are using your expertise to get the best available pricing and perks for yourself and friends I would suggest you are functioning at a pro level.

Just because you have more to learn puts you at an advantage against the traveler who thinks they know it all.

This subject makes me smile and recall a quotation on the wall of the Chart Room on the QE2 that said something to the effect:

" It is far better to have absolutely no idea where one is, and to know it;

Then to believe confidently that one is where one is not..";)

Beware anyone that describes themselves as Pros, Kings, Queens or Experts, they usually don't know what they are talking about!
