tulman Posted June 10, 2010 #26 Share Posted June 10, 2010 Very good first night at the casino, followed by a week of bad nights- We found that the first night on the "Spirit" last year to Alaska was the best night. What did you play? Craps:D

Terrafreaky Posted June 10, 2010 #28 Share Posted June 10, 2010 I love this review! :) Were there any stores within walking distance of the Rodeway? Like Walgreens or Kmart? Thanks!
evergladesgator Posted June 11, 2010 #29 Share Posted June 11, 2010 It's out in the middle of NOWHERE ! Vehicle access only. Wife and i drove past there a couple of weeks ago to make a report for fellow cruisers on Freedom in Oct.:( Here's a link to map of area. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=type:transit_station:%22SR+84/SW+25+T%22&hl=en&gl=us&ved=0CBQQpQY&ei=0ZgRTIyxLonaygTdruTjAQ&ie=UTF8&view=map&geocode=FcEQjgEd9ac4-w&split=0&sll=26.087617,-80.173067&sspn=0.000000,0.000000&iwloc=A&sa=Xv

LorrieB Posted June 11, 2010 #31 Share Posted June 11, 2010 But did you smuggle alcohol on the ship? If so, how much? We aren't big drinkers but would like to have some vodka for my husband's bloody Mary's. Is it really expensive to purchase from Bon Voyage? This is probably better than worrying about smuggling, especially since we are flying into Fort Lauderdale. But, just in case we decide to tempt the Gods, where is the best place to buy a bottle of alcohol? I'm just asking..... just in case!!!! ;)
allipooh27 Posted June 11, 2010 #32 Share Posted June 11, 2010 after the beach we shopped, I was craving some big black dick. OMG! How funny is that! My dd (age 14) will have a field day with that one! Stuff like that is just way funny right now. Everything's turned into a "that's what she said" joke. lmao. Love it! :D We cruise on the Freedom Aug. 22. Can't wait. It'll be our second cruise. We took our first cruise over New Year's and booked the next one 2 weeks after we got back. :) I see you guys are already booked for your second! It's addicting, for sure! Keep the pics coming! I'm just asking..... just in case!!!! ;) DH, DD and I are sailing on the Freedom with both sets of grandparents on 25 Sept and we used the Bon Voyage dept. Bought 2 bottles of Bacardi Rum (40 each/1 liter) and 1 bottle of Vodka (can't remember the name but it was also 40 for 1 liter...the Grey Goose was significantly more exp...want to say 70 for 1 liter). While we dropped $120 for the 3 liters, it was way cheaper and way more convenient for us to have it in the rooms (we have 3 rooms with 6 adults traveling). We plan to combine balconies and have HH outside every night. With our 3 year old DD, going to the bar for HH is just not an enjoyable option. This way, everyone's happy and we don't have the added stress of smuggling (b/c travelling with my parents and in-laws will be stressful enough!!). :)
dragonfly180 Posted June 16, 2010 #34 Share Posted June 16, 2010 thanks for the link of the map to the hotel. how long are you allowed to keep your vehicle there? since our cruise on the freedom in a few days is 8 days long, i'd really rather not pay the $140-150 for parking at the port if possible. Ms. Fun Bunch Posted June 16, 2010 #35 Share Posted June 16, 2010 We caught a cab to 7 mile beach, $4 PP each way, short drive but LONG walk *we picked up crazy walkers half way to the beach. We went to Royal Palms Resort, it was nice but expensive, everything on this island was $$ Typical beach day, details are boring. But look how pretty the water is, ah paradise after the beach we shopped, I was craving some big black dick. You were lucky that you could go back to the ship from this port. I was just in Grand Cayman for a 7 day vacation......very, very expensive. One day for lunch I ordered a chicken club wrap and a virgin miami vice and my bill was $38 U.S. dollars. It looks like you and your wife really enjoyed your first cruise......welcome to a wonderful addiction!!!!!!
