lettienets Posted June 10, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2010 What kind of activities can one expect on a few sea days in a row? Are there any crafts, lectures, mini golf tournaments, ??? I know there will be casino things, bingo, art auctions etc. Just wondering what is offered. Thanks!

pcur Posted June 10, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2010 Lots and lots to do on a TA. They usually schedule a guest speaker to give travelogues or lectures on the area you are cruising through/to. Depending on the ship, there will be any number of activities. On the larger ships you will have ice skating, sport court activities, mini golf. On all ships you will have food lectures, inside ship related lectures, and some ships have crafts, too. The Mariner has a create your own painted crockery station up above their solarium. Casino is open all day and night on sea days.
CRUSINGFAMILY Posted June 10, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2010 They also have been having team trivia, where they keep track of each teams score and have one or two sessions a day and it is a lot of fun. We were on Independance last fall on the transatlantic and the cruise director had a lot of new game show type games that we played every day. You will not be borred Have a great cruise. hazeleyez3 Posted June 10, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2010 Along with what the others said...there are dance lessons, health and wellness seminars in the spa, more fitness classes, and (at least on the one I was on) rock climbing wall competitions. The wall, rink, and flowrider also had longer hours.
lettienets Posted June 10, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted June 10, 2010 Sounds like there is a lot of good activities. I like lectures or talks. How about movies, are there more movies on transatlantic cruises? Thanks
