What concerns I had ( Check all that apply) Leaving affected port sailing thru oil Ports cancelled Cruise cancelled Going to ports that could be afected Other What would ease my concerns? I answered it and sent it in.

LucyR. Posted June 25, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2010 If I was cruising I would hate for Carnival to cancel KEY WEST my favorite port. I did notice that the Carnival Freedom has Key West as one of their ports. I live in the west coast and having to fly all the way to the east coast and not being able to see Key West again would be a major disappointment. I have chosen not to cruise in that area until the problem is over.
dac61 Posted June 25, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted June 25, 2010 They wanted honest answers so I told them I was somewhat concerned. My concern is that ports of call will be cancelled or actual cruise would be cancelled. I have no problem sailing out of an affected port but more concerned that ports will be missed. Traveler353 Posted June 25, 2010 #7 Share Posted June 25, 2010 The more people don't book or cancel is fine with me. It just means the prices for my upcoming booked cruises will keep dropping.:D
Sirap Posted June 25, 2010 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2010 I received this survey today also. It asked me how concerned I was that the oil spill will effect my Conquest cruise is August. I said not at all and that was it for the questions. I find it interesting that so far it looks like it may be that they are only sending it out to people who have cruises booked out of Galveston in the coming months. Actually, I havent gotten a price drop lately, but both had gone up, now they came down to EXACTLY what I paid ...go figure
MikeM Posted June 25, 2010 #12 Share Posted June 25, 2010 Our TA indicated to us that Caribbean Cruises are lagging behind last year but west coast bookings are up quite a bit at least with her clients. My guess is that the Splendor etc. prices will stay the same and some of the Caribbean cruises will slide some.
