Putterdude Posted June 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2010 For those sailing from Vancouver tonight 6/26 or tomorrow, you may care to keep an eye open for gray whales in Georgia Strait. Yesterday afternoon there were some feeding just off a beach about 5 minutes from my home. This would be on the starboard side about an hour after passing under the Lions Gate Bridge. I have seen many Orcas and other whales over the years but this is the first time that I have actually seen grays feeding.

Putterdude Posted June 27, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted June 27, 2010 Which beach? Are you talking about Davis bay? They were at Davis Bay which is where I saw them but also further down they were evidently seen at the end of Gower Point Rd. at Gibsons.
fleckle Posted June 27, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 27, 2010 We were surrounded by gray whales at Sitka a few weeks ago when we went out on a wildlife tour with Captain Davey.
