Watch for gray whales

For those sailing from Vancouver tonight 6/26 or tomorrow, you may care to keep an eye open for gray whales in Georgia Strait. Yesterday afternoon there were some feeding just off a beach about 5 minutes from my home. This would be on the starboard side about an hour after passing under the Lions Gate Bridge. I have seen many Orcas and other whales over the years but this is the first time that I have actually seen grays feeding.

Which beach? Are you talking about Davis bay?

What I would give to be looking for gray whales!!!!!:) Here I am at the lake in Oklahoma and not a whale in sight!;) Maybe next year!

They were at Davis Bay which is where I saw them but also further down they were evidently seen at the end of Gower Point Rd. at Gibsons.

We were surrounded by gray whales at Sitka a few weeks ago when we went out on a wildlife tour with Captain Davey.

Wow what a treat that would be to see gray whales out of Vancouver. How fortunate you are to live in such a beautiful area! :D Enjoy!!!

Our gray whales are still out in front of us feeding and playing.... so keep an eye out for them if sailing from Vancouver over the next few days.
