Nautica cabin 4040?

Anyone stayed in this specific cabin before? Any noise issues such as a crew work room nearby? Foot traffic to Medical Centre?

TA has cabin on hold; it's the only possible decent deck 4 midship open other than moving more forward towards elevator.

I don't know about 4040 but in the early Renaissance days we twice had the cabin opposite the laundry room, and the only time we heard noise was when we opened our door.

One time we opened the door to find a cocktail party in progress in the hall -- sans the cocktails, of course. There were so many people trying to do laundry at once that the crowed spilled into the hallway.

I can't believe that you would be bothered by people walking into the medical center.

We just returned from a two week cruise in stateroom 4042 and have also stayed in cabin 4049. There were not any differences between the two as both were quiet. The doors provide good insulation against anyone passing by in the hall. No worries -- enjoy your cruise! :)

4040 is my first request when I book a cruise. It is low in the ship and close to the middle of the ship - less movement on bad sea days (like we had going around the tip of South America). Unlike others on the ship, my wife and I were never seasick. No noise problems in the room.

My husband and I were in a cabin 404? on the Regatta for a Mediterrean cruise. Our cabin was directly across from the Medical Offices and we never heard any noise ever at any time. I shouldn't think you need to worry about this. Just go you are going to love it!!

We've not been in 4040, but have been in 4041 (Regatta), 4032 (Nautica), & 4031 (Regatta), and have not had any noise issues.

I think those deck 4 cabins are winners for those of us who do not require a balcony.

We just returned from Oceana Insignia staying in 4038.

We love mid ship and we are delighted with the 4th deck. It is near reception and just a deck away from the Grand Dining. Never did we hear any crew activity or have any extra medical traffic. :)

We just returned from an Insignia cruise and had cabin 4049, which is on the other side of the ship. That was a perfect location. No problems whatosever. I was in the hallway with the cabin you ask about, and I noticed no problem there. Yes, there would be some traffic to the medical center. But my guess is not a lot. John
