Anyone know of a good hotel before a cruise. This is our first princess cruise.Flying in two days early from nova scotia

Are you looking for a hotel on the beach or nice pool will do?

 

If yes, we really liked Embassy Suites. Two rooms in each suite. Very nice lagoon like pool. Full breakfast is included.

how far is the Embassy Suites from the Port?

less than 10 minutes...really very close....probably $10 or so cab ride.

The Ren is actually closer to the port....probably about the same fare and timing...

 

both those hotels are within short walking distance to food and shopping..

What are you looking to do? If beach is a priority, I wouldn't stay downtown on 17th. If you like outdoor cafes/dining/night spots and shopping small shops, you'll like staying nearer Las Olas Blvd.

 

You will want to use the water taxis too which will take you up and down the waterways. See the map routes here as well as what you'll find at certain stops. watertaxi.com

The Hyatt Pier 66, Hilton Marina, Pillars, and Bahia Mar have water taxi stops.
