Now I know why all the Crazies live in Texas:D:D What a fun cruise! I see you live in Odessa, is Rosie's(?) Cafe still in business? Used to loved those burritos when we passed through on business. WestTxCruiser Posted July 25, 2010 Author #236 Share Posted July 25, 2010 Saturday, Our Last Sea Day. We were up early again, had our usual breakfast buffet, then took Tara to camp. We got our usual lounge chairs right in front of the stage. I will admit to saving a few chairs, but I had a time limit and if the girl's didn't show up within that limit then I let the chairs go. At 9am Chris had his Morning Show, which is broadcast live on the Big Screen on Lido. Mike and I got zoomed in on, as that is obviously a prime location to put people on the Big Screen. Several times throughout the week the girl's told me they just turned the tv on and looked to see if we were there....and most of the time we were. Part of Chris's show this morning included the kids who were at Camp Carnival. He asked for parents to call their child/children.....it was really kind of a cool thing, they showed all the kids on the screen and when the phone rang and the kids heard their parent's voices, the smiles on their faces were priceless. Mike was able to get through, so Tara had one of those priceless smiles!:) After that part of the show was over, Mike and I got zoomed in on while we were sitting in our lounge chairs. I don't even remember what Chris was asking us....I just remember I gave him a thumbs up. We spent the day doing a lot of this A little bit of this, before the lines got too long. And a whole lot of this Now where the heck is Sushi????? I need a beer!!
WestTxCruiser Posted July 25, 2010 Author #237 Share Posted July 25, 2010 Here he is If your lucky enough to meet Sushi, I promise you he will take very good care of you....he was AWESOME all week.....and we showed him our appreciation with a good tip! This afternoon's Deck Games was Synchronized Swimming....Guys against the Girls. The Girl's did really good, but by far the Guys blew the Girl's outta the water....they did GREAT! You never know what your gonna see on the Lido Deck I'm so glad I forgot to pack Mike and Shane's Speedo's!
WestTxCruiser Posted July 25, 2010 Author #238 Share Posted July 25, 2010 Tonight we were celebrating Tara's birthday. Good thing those robes were too big, or I probably would have had to buy her one. We all met at our usual spot for our pre-dinner drink and last group photo op. Prior to our cruise I had ordered a birthday cake through the Bon Voyage dept, and chose tonight for it to be delivered to our table. Tara loved it!! The cake turned out great, and it tasted really good too! We all got a piece of it. It's always so sad when the waiters line up for that Farewell song.....Your Leaving Our Funship. No matter how many times I hear it, it always gives me a lump in my throat and a little tear in my eye.....knowing I'm leaving their Funship. WestTxCruiser Posted July 25, 2010 Author #239 Share Posted July 25, 2010 After dinner it was back to the cabin to change clothes, take Tara to camp for her last time, and I got to pack.:( At least packing to go home is a lot easier than packing to go......just throw it in the suitcase cuz it's all dirty anyway. We filled out our Customs forms and our Debark Tags, we had Zone 5. Don't forget to leave out your clothes, shoes, toothbrushes.....or anything else you might need for the dreaded Debark in the morning. Oh and check your shoes and make sure they match.....I won't mention any names.......LIKE Tina had on two different colored flip flops for Debark.:p:D Don't forget to cash out your chips and your Sail N Sign for your Casino winnings.....if you were lucky enough to be a winner! WestTxCruiser Posted July 25, 2010 Author #241 Share Posted July 25, 2010 Sunday morning we were up early, had breakfast and were out of our cabins about 8:30. We tried to make our way to the Toulouse Latrec Lounge to wait for Zone 5 to be called.....but we couldn't get there due to a traffic jam. So we found some seats on Deck 3 where Debark was taking place....even though they said not to wait there, other people were doing it too and since we were kind of stuck.....didn't feel like we had a choice....but at least we waited our turn. It took them until about 9:30 to finish calling Self Debark.........and that brings me to this rant.....WHY do people do Self Debark when they have everything but the kitchen sink with them.  Oh and just an FYI.....if you think you can go up and take one of your photo's and sneak back down without paying for it......your WRONG........we watched a guy chase down this lady who did that......she acted all innocent.....give me a break, she knew what she was doing. So we were off the ship about 9:30ish, we got a Porter, loaded up our bags and we're outside about 10. The Girl's were about 30 minutes behind us, they had Zone 9....I think. While we were waiting for Mike and Shane to bring the cars, my phone rang...it was a Port Employee asking to speak to Mike. I told her I was his wife and she told me that we had left a bag behind and that only Mike could retrieve it because it had his name on the Debark tag.......so I guess take this as a good reason to fill out your Debark tag and put your cell phone number on it......not your home number......just in case you leave something behind. The lady met Mike just outside the Customs area with the bag. Our fun is over, it only took us 9 1/2 hours to get home.....but it seemed like an eternity. :(
