name of cruise terminal in Bergen

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to figure out how to get to the Fish Market and catch the Ulriken643 panoramic tour bus from the pier in Bergen. We will be on the Grand Princess. Does anyone know? Is there a website I can look this up on?

The Ulriken643 panoramic tour bus also stops in front of the cruise terminal gate when cruise ships were in port:

The Cruise Terminal is called Skolten:

But the 2 others are in a range of 100 yards: Bontelabo (also for big ships) and Festningskaien (for smaller ships only - like OCEAN PRINCESS).

Best is see here:

Fisketorget is the fish market.

On the right you see the cruise ship.

Even you have no sense for orientation...

at the gate to the right and then straight ahead to the waterside of the bay. At the end of the bay it's the fish market. Walk about 12-18 minutes.

We docked at the fairly handy Skoltegrunskaien Pier. This put us within about a 10-15 minute walk of the main attractions at the market and warehouse area. Below are a few added visual to give more ideas on this lovely city that we just loved last week.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

This picture shows the Floibanen funicular railway coming up the steep hill with the harbor, fish market, etc. in the lower background. The Fish Market and Hanseatic warehouse area are all right close together and near the station to do funicular rail trip. On the top right, the Silver Cloud and Costa ships can be seen in the harbor at this docking area.

These are the building fronts in the historic Bergen Hanseatic merchant warehouse area.:

Right nearby is the Fish Market with lots of options to buy food to eat on site or just watch, enjoying the “show” as people ask questions and buy the various fresh fish items.:
