Earl Rosebery Posted July 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2010 We will be disembarking Aug 31, and would like to get to the train station, what would be the easiest way? Depends on how much luggage you have and your tolerance for schlepping your bags up the steps on the new bridge over the Grand Canal. If you don't mind the bridge, take the people mover tram to Piazzal Roma then it is a 600 yard walk to the station. Other alternatives are taxiis to P. Roma followed by the walk. or you can substitute one stop on the no 1 Vaporetto from P. Roma to the station. Fares for 1 stop are only a few euros. Large volumes of luggage on the Vaporetto are discouraged. The most elegant and most expensive solution is a private water taxi. This has the advantage of being door to door. The cost can often be shared.

kuldalai Posted July 24, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 24, 2010 You take the new people mover from the Cruise Terminal to Piazzale Roma. The walk over bridge to St.Lucia Station .
