We are sailing out of San Diego in January for 60 days. Is there a market near the port? We want to get some wine a case and some bottle water for the cruise.. PLEASE SOME SUGGESTIONS. We will be taking a cab from the airport to the cruise port. Thank you..................

The closest is the RiteAid drug store on Ash and Kettner about 3 blocks from the pier, but you will find a very limited selection of wine there. If you are taking a cab, you might want to have them take a little side trip, or check in at the pier (it is less than 3 miles southeast from the airport) and then take another cab to pick up some wine and water. Other options include:

Ralph's supermarket: 101 G Street, San Diego, CA‎ - (619) 595-1581‎. Open 24 hours, about 12 blocks from the pier.

Bacchus Wine Market (not far from Ralph's):‎647 G Street, San Diego, CA 92101-7028 - (619) 236-0005

The Wine Bank: 363 5th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101-6965 - (619) 234-7487

Cost Plus World Market: 372 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA‎ - (619) 236-1737‎ About 12 blocks from the pier. Close to the San Diego Trolley (first Convention Center stop) which is two blocks from the pier.

San Diego Wine and Culinary Center: (also near the second Convention Center Trolley stop): 200 Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101-7049 - (619) 231-6400

Wine Steals (East Village location): 793 and 795 J Street San Diego, CA 92101 - (619) 255 7452

57 Degrees (a new wine shop): 1735 Hancock Street San Diego, CA 92101-7308 - (619) 234-5757. About a mile from the pier. 1/2 block from the Washington Street Trolley Station.

Trader Joe's at Liberty Station (WEST of the airport): 2401 Truxtun Road, San Diego, CA 92106-6149 - (619) 758-9272

Wine Steals (at Liberty Station): 2970 Truxtun Road, San Diego, CA 92106-6115 - (619) 221-1959

Other than Trader Joe's most of the wine places do not sell water, and even Trader Joe's does not have sodas.
