lizq Posted August 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2010 We're shortly retiring and plan to spend a couple of years in Australia. Usually fly there from UK but am thinking of flying part way - maybe into HongKong, Singapore etc - then cruising the rest of the way. Can anyone suggest a starting point for trying to find who offers suitable cruises? Thank you so much

Rare Keith1010 Posted August 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 1, 2010 You will find many cruise lines leaving out of Singapore or Hong Kong. I would go to a criuse line travel agency site that has an advance search engine where you can pull up cruises leaving out of these two ports and sailing to Australia. Rare Essiesmom Posted August 1, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2010 Go to http://www.cruisetimetables.com The upper list of ports is for preferred departure. Click on the month you wish to sail, and it will show you which ships are departing and their itineraries. The lower list id ports of call. If there is a particular port you wish to visit, click on it, and the month you wish to visit, and it will again show ships and itineraries. room010 Posted August 2, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 2, 2010 Side Note: If you are planning to stay 2 years make sure you have the correct visas. A standard tourist/visitor's visa is valid for 3 months only. The rules are changing all the time so check with the Australian High Commission in London.
