rkacruiser Posted August 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2010 I had to cancel a cruise when I was within the 50% cancellation penalty area. I had a check from them in six days after I had submitted all of the claims paperwork. I continue to buy their insurance for any cruise that I book. An excellent company that one time was affiliated with AIG, but is now owned by a different firm.

PrincessE Posted August 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 3, 2010 Travel Guard saved my butt when I booked my husband, my parents and myself to Hawaii. Four airline tickets. All non-refundable. My dad broke his leg a month before we had to fly. I had to submit a lot of paperwork, i.e., doctors notes, etc., but they refunded my money and fairly quickly too. sail7seas Posted August 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 3, 2010 So good to hear good experiences with a travel insurance company. We read here all the time about buying it, all the research etc but how often do we actually hear of happy outcomes when claims are submitted? Thanks for sharing your positive feedback.
