English Rose Posted August 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2010 We have just booked a cruise leaving Barcelona on 22 August and as we booked late could only get first seating. Can anyone tell me what time the first seating is on this Med cruise. I tried to wait list for second seating but the wait list is full also. I don't like eating early, but how early is the first seating? Thanks.
cb at sea Posted August 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2010 i think they're a bit later on European and Med cruises....on a Caribbean, main seating is at 6 or so.
English Rose Posted August 7, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted August 7, 2010 Oh I hope so!! We are also Diamond members and I hear there aren't too many on this ship, do you think that would help us?
Camlott Posted August 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 7, 2010 Is MTD available?
Bobal Posted August 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 7, 2010 Hello - we spoke on another thread :) First seating is 6.30 and they seemed to have 3 second sittings, at 9.00, 9.15 and 9.30 - each on a different floor. We opted for MTD and usually ate around 8.30 and used to see the different sittings coming in as MTD is on the top floor. I think you'll find that the second sitting is more popular on this sailing as the Spanish like to eat late. However, as Diamond members, you should get priority on wait lists and, if our sailing is anything to go by, there will probably be so few Diamond members that you should be high up on the priority list. If you choose MTD you can prebook your times online. If you prefer to stick with trad dining I suggest you go to the dining room as soon as you board and tell them you are Diamond members and would like 2nd sitting.
