What exactly is a "hump" cabin and where are they located?

Scroll and look at this picture of Deck 9. See where it juts out by the centrum, the concierge and the elevators? Thats the Bump or Hump and the view from most of those cabins are great!! ITs the only cabins DH and I have ever sailed in (excpet that once! :eek: ) We love the location.

The Hump cabins are located mid-ship where the elevators are located. And the cabins forward & aft of the hump typically have larger balconies.

On Radiance class ships, the cabins on the end of the hump generally have larger balconies than the other side cabins.....yes..it's good.

On Voyager class, there's no difference in balcony size, but it's still a great, convenient location!

We stayed in an E1 last year and the balcony would hold 5 people standing at the railing easily (maybe even 1 more :rolleyes:) we had 3 people in the room so we asked for a 3rd chair and it was no problem.

We had a deck 9 D1 center hump cabin on the Radiance to Alaska a year ago. You could see forward and you could see backward. Plus, it was very convenient to the elevators. There was a little private hallway to our cabin, so it was very quiet...no noise from the centrum.

We will be in a Hump Cabin on the Freedom on Aug. 29th...can't wait..of course we have had them before...hubby likes them because they are so close to the elevators...just convenient...:D

Hi we have got a hump cabin on deck 6 next march it is the second one along e2 grade ,it is our first cruise with royal carribian .I am glad people like these cabins to .val ,steve

Changed my cabin on the SOS 5/29/2011 to a HUMP Cabin on the 9th floor....Thanks for teaching me the ropes :D
