suzyed Posted August 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2010 We are looking at Celebrity for the 1st time. We have sailed many times before, but on other lines..Carnival, RCCL, NCL, Cunard. I am looking at the Constellation in Europe in October. Any imput on cabin choice, specialty restaurants, "frequent sailers program", etc.... Thanks! Rysyonok Posted August 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2010 Look up "Sweet 16" cabins. Definitely book specialty restaurant 2-3 times.
JanineM Posted August 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2010 We had sailed on RCI and hubby on Princess and Norwegian previously, and both prefer Celebrity. We aren't cabin snobs at all but that said we like to get a Concierge Class cabin if the price is right (we don't think it's worth hundreds more) because we like the larger balcony as the table is big enough for dinner. There are also a few other perqs that go along with CC and they are listed on Celebrity's website. Celebrity has the Captain's Club and it is related to Crown & Anchor at Royal Caribbean. Your C&A status will be reciprocated with a similar status at Capt's Club - just call the Captain's Club and they will be happy to help. Celebrity's club has recently been dramatically improved. The specialty restaurants we have enjoyed have been fantastic. For our next cruise we are planning to eat in them at least 3 times. The food is very, very good and the service and ambience are excellent. Hope this helps!
suzyed Posted August 18, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted August 18, 2010 Thanks for the info! I'm especially happy to hear that Royal Caribben C&A and Captains club have a reciprical agreement! Where do I look up "Sweet 16"?
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 18, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 18, 2010 The specialty restaurant was outstanding. It was one of the finest meals we have ever had on any cruise ship between the cuisine, ambience and the service. Enjoy the cruise. Keith
