What is HAL's policy about bring your own favorite wine onboard?

You can bring as much wine, soda, water as you wish. (either at embarkation or from ports along the way).

There is a $18 a bottle corkage fee if you choose to consume your wine in one of the dining venues or lounges.

Can you buy wine and bring on to HA at ports of call? I ask as we are on a 30 day cruise and would like to bring on wine in Italy, Monaco, Spain, and Portugal, as we'll only bring on some in Athens when we sail.

TIA:D

Thanks for the info-makes our life much easier to not bring on a months wine in Athens. So looking fwd to this month long cruise. This is only our third cruise w/HA. Love the food, service, etc, but we spent too much on wine onboard.:D

the only fatal thing if you bring a bottle on board is a trip to the nearest bar before and after dinner and while at the pool. Room drinkers are usually the best bar customers. It hasn't proved fatal to any of the lines that permit you to bring a bottle or 2.

*chuckle* We do take advantage of the 2/for 1 at the bar for a glass of wine before dinner. Neither of us drink much else-just love wine, afterall it is a California thing. I wish HA carried California wines more, but they have a thing with Washington's so-so overpriced wines. :D

Taking advantage to access of European wines in ports on this cruise will be a treat, as they are fairly costly here in Cali due to transportation. Can't wait to pick up some Amarone in Venezia and Firenzxe-now that is some amazing wine.
