Grandpaul Posted November 11, 2013 #26 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Yeah it is but I like the odds bets. Only even bet in the casino. SOmetimes I place the 6 and 8 till I get my 2 come bets up. Just came from Turning Stone casino here by Syracuse. Went in partners with my oldest son who is a very good blackjack player. Had a very good night and I didn't have to lift a finger. splintz Posted January 10, 2014 #27 Share Posted January 10, 2014 1- when playing 3 cp in vegas or AC i am afraid to get up to go to the bathroom. always afraid the person sitting to my left is going to get my big hand i have been waiting on as soon as i get up. (playing on carnival it doesn't matter because they hand deal one card to a person going around the table instead of all 3 cards to a person at a time) so i usually hold it until they change cards out and then run to the bathroom so i don't miss a hand. 2-and in craps when it is my time to roll i always put a bet down for the dealers on the pass line and place back odds on it. i will continue this for as many points as i hit on the roll. also if they have a fire bet i will place $5 for me and $2 for the dealer. Grandpaul Posted January 10, 2014 #28 Share Posted January 10, 2014 I always play bets for the dealers. They all remember me when I show up.
Ambiverol Posted January 10, 2014 #29 Share Posted January 10, 2014 More of a pet peeve than a superstition I suppose...It drives me crazy when, at blackjack, people celebrate my hand before the dealers hand is complete. For example: Dealer showing six, I have 6,4. Double, get the ten (20). People will say stuff like, "Nice Hit!" etc. I realize mathematically that it's a "nice hit" compared to a 2. I get that. But it's not really nice until the dealer is done. After hearing the cheering, and then losing.......I hate that. Especially with a big bet on the line. Don't get me wrong. I love the camaraderie, cheering, high fives, fist bumps, being silly, and general antics of a winning table. Love it. I just prefer to reserve the celebration (of my hand anyway...don't care if people jump up and down over their pulls) until the whole hand is dealt. "Superstitions are bad luck"...FYI...I'll be stealing that!
sellwingri Posted January 26, 2014 #30 Share Posted January 26, 2014 This is really a stupid one but when playing 3 card poker, I pick up the cards with my right hand only. If and when I lose 2 hands in a row, I switch to my left hand. I go back and forth.
Erik101 Posted January 26, 2014 #31 Share Posted January 26, 2014 When it comes to a casino on a cruise ship...NONE! On one of our cruises, our waiter told us that people don't go to the casino to gamble; instead, they go there to make a donation to the ship.
