aliaschief Posted September 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2010 The next ship we will cruise on, the MS Ryndam, was sure looking great sailing into San Diego this morning. C'mon December!

trvlcrzy Posted September 23, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 23, 2010 Where do you get this info? LAFFNVEGAS has a contact at HAL who shares this. HAL provides a spreadsheet (in mid-December) for the year. This explains why some ship changes aren't reflected in the daily post. If there is a lot of chatter about a change... like Veendam leaving St. George early for Hamilton... or avoiding a hurricane, we try to update the files. I take the spreadsheet file and "translate" into a more user-friendly format. It comes to me like this... with a little better spacing horizontally 23 AMVictoria, British Columbia12:00-23:59 EUBar Harbor, ME8:00-17:00 MACruising the Gulf of Saint Lawrence- NAVenice13:00-23:59 NOPalma de Mallorca, Spain9:00-18:00 OSSitka, Alaska8:00-17:00 PRBarcelona8:00-23:59 RTAt Sea (Pacific Ocean)- RYSAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA7:00-17:00 SAGlacier Bay Scenic Cruising7:00-16:00 VEHamilton, Bermuda0:00-23:59 VOSEATTLE, WASHINGTON7:00-15:00 WEAntalya, Turkey7:00-15:00 ZAVictoria, British Columbia19:30-23:59 ZUKetchikan, Alaska10:00-18:00 I change the ships' names to the full name. I add the "at sea" positions, and I change the times to a 12 hr clock instead of the 24 hr format. Sometimes, I add more geographical information if HAL's description is an obscure place (to me at least). luvtwotrvl is my DH, and he posts each night. I try to stay ahead of him. I'm running out of my "prepared" files for him to copy and paste. I need to work on that! I prepare one week at a time. Hope this explains the process.
