We got back to the ship at around 3:45 p.m . Spent time by the pool and relaxing on our balcony with a glass of wine.

OMG I Rushed home for the proposal.... been thinking all day I cant wait to get home and read that guys review. you're killing me. No doing the lawn no cleaning the kids are big enough let them feed themselves so you can concentrate on important things. LOL j/k:D

Like I said here it comes. Well the start of it.

Dinner at six, getting nervous. Want everything to go as planned, back in May I posted here asking the ladies if they would prefer being surprised ( vow renewal) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1190235,. The overwhelming response was to go for the surprise.

 

Been rehearsing what to say, when I should pop the question, etc. Had the ring hidden in my big camera case, I put it in my suit jacket pocket. It’s bulging, try the back pocket, no better. Put it back in my jacket pocket, hope Tracy doesn’t notice or tries to give me a hug.

 

On our way to Scarlett’s I pull Rick aside and tell him to grab my camera when I make a toast because something special is going to happen tonight.

 

When escorted to our table I sit beside her so that I am next to her when I get down on one knee. She says " why don’t you sit across from me, it’s just easier to make conversation" I answer " no, I just want to be beside you tonight" She finds it funny but doesn't question it.

 

Then I get stuck in the corner with a big column behind me. I would have difficulty getting my chair out, because I want to get down on one knee. I ask Tracy and Nathalie to move their chairs, they look at me funny but don’t question it.

 

I decide to wait until after the main course, knowing the waiters would be hovering around the table for a while, in addition a few glasses of wine would calm my nerves.

The time has come, I make a toast to family and good friends and then I start telling everyone how I used to take Tracy for granted when we were dating or as Tracy would say when we were ‘courting’. How I never proposed to her and tonight I wanted to make things right.
