kakey30 Posted September 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2010 Could you please tell me what southern Caribbean islands you have to tender to. Thanks
Ocean Boy Posted September 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2010 There are no tender islands on the southern routes. The only time we tendered was at St. Lucia when we were ther on Serenade. That was because they were working on the pier and Adventure had the available space.
The Big Booper Posted September 26, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2010 Samana (DR) is a tender stop. Labadee now has a pier.

Ocean Boy Posted September 26, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 26, 2010 Grand Cayman is considered Western Caribbean. I didn't know about Samana though. It is a new port for RCI and I haven't been there.

Ocean Boy Posted September 27, 2010 #9 Share Posted September 27, 2010 Explorer will be going there. It seems to be replacing St. Kitts. Interesting. I have always wanted to go to St. Kitts. Somehow, I never end up on a ship that is going there the same time that I am on it.
The Big Booper Posted September 27, 2010 #10 Share Posted September 27, 2010 Interesting. I have always wanted to go to St. Kitts. Somehow, I never end up on a ship that is going there the same time that I am on it. We stopped at St. Kitts on the Explorer holiday sailing Dec 2009 and the port was much improved and expanded over past visits. I was surprised to see that it was dropped from the 2010 schedule. This will be the last two week holiday trip for the EX, next year there will be a seven day cruise from NY to the Bahamas and Florida, repeated Christmas week and New Years, which doesn't interest us at all. We stopped in St. Kitts two years ago on a 7 night cruise out of Santo Domingo on Legend of the Seas. Next Fall the Jewel of the Seas repositioning cruise out of Boston, has St. Kitts on its itinerary. We did the Sugar Train excursion the last time and look forward to suggestions of something else to do next year.:)
