kayjo Posted September 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2010 I am ready to book my next cruise. My question is: Do I book now, or wait until October 13 for "The World's Largest Cruise Night"? I am afraid if I book now I might miss a better deal, and I can't find information about what incentives are going to be offered.
Rare mizLORInj Posted September 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2010 You can get a price adjustment if the category goes down in price after you book. If after final payment, we have been upgraded to make up the cost of the price drop. Depends on the cruiseline sometimes. I usually have particular cabins in mind so I don't wait to book once my mind's made up on a cruise.
Treven Posted September 30, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2010 I book a specific type of cabin (handicapped), so I'll do it 12-16 months in advance. If the price goes down, then I'll get an onboard credit. But that isn't something I concern myself with - I let my TA handle that.
laumicmah Posted September 30, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2010 What is the Oct 13 world's largest cruise night?
Putterdude Posted October 1, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 1, 2010 We always book 18 or more months out, that way we get the cabin we want and if the price drops we take advantage of it. The "The World's Largest Cruise Night" is a big sales promotion...last years was a big bust.
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 1, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 1, 2010 Since we are particular about what cabin we want -- we book months in advance. If you have a specific cabin in mind -- book now!!
sparky-elpaso Posted October 1, 2010 #7 Share Posted October 1, 2010 You might want to make sure that any bookings on the "cruise night" promotion would be for "new bookings" - if they are then you might not be able to get a price adjustment for an already booked cruise.
