Car hire

I am thinking about hiring a car for the day while in Barbados.

Has anyone done this ?

What is the driving like,and could anyone recommend a good hire company.

Also do they drive on the left?

We have driven many times in Barbados - left side driving - you will adjust pretty fast. We alway use Stoutes Car Rental - you can book on line and they will have a car for you at the terminal. They have a small kiosk outside the terminal building to your right (as well as rental offices in other part of the island). You will have to buy a $10.00 International driver's licence - but, other then that - not problems. Leave yourself a lot of time to get back to the termainal in the afternoon - traffic does tend to be busier then the normal busy. Have fun and enjoy.
