Help for a newbie

Hi all

I have been on many cruises but never Cunard. I am looking into booking a cruise for my husbands 50th birthday.

I am interested in Norway. Which destinations were best with the Fjords? I see they have different ports of call.

Any helpful info would be appreciated :)

Thanks

Kerry

You can't go wrong with Norway, each port has it's charms. Flam and Geiranger are both beautiful, but there is not a lot to do when you get there. Stavanger and Bergen are not as dramatic to sail into, but there is more to do when you get there.

We liked Flam the best. We took the train up to Myrdal at the top, stopping to see a waterfall on the way.

Geiranger is an anchor port so you need to take a tender. We took the tour up Mt Dalsnibba.

We also liked Bergen. We went round Bryggen and took the funicular railway up Mt. Floien.

We didn't much care for Stavanger. The pavements were dirty and there was graffiti in some places.
