MaaDo Posted October 24, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2010 We are thinking about booking on the Freedom. We normally sail RCCL but this ship looks good. Any comments are appreicated. Also...how's the food on the ship?
Irishlinny Posted October 24, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2010 I can't assist you directly, as I haven't yet sailed on the Freedom. But have you checked the Member Cruise Review section of the boards? I'm sure you will find lots of info there:)
lplegalmom Posted October 24, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2010 We took our first cruise on the Freedom on 9/25/10 to Cozumel, Costa Rica and Panama. The ship was incredible....very clean, everyone was very nice, friendly and helpful and the food was fabulous. We never had a meal that we didn't enjoy. We ate dinner in the Posh Dining Room everynight and did the breakfast buffet or room service for breakfast. Lunch was whenever we felt like it but they have a great buffet inside or there's a grill outside cooking up burgers, dogs, chicken, etc. I am hooked now on cruises and can't wait to do another one. You won't regret going on the Freedom.
2funcruzin Posted October 24, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2010 We went with a large group on Freedom and had a blast. We did a cabin crawl and had a blast! The ship is awesome, very spacious and clean. You will certainly enjoy her!
fuzzmane Posted October 24, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2010 Went on the Freedom Nov. 2009, and would get back on the ship in a heart beat. You will have a great time.
Ykgorbie Posted October 24, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2010 We just got off of the Freedom last week after a b2b cruise. The ship is wonderful ! And if you get a chance to go to the Steakhouse, for $30 a person, I PROMISE you that you will not be disappointed !
dst Posted October 24, 2010 #7 Share Posted October 24, 2010 We sailed the Freedom in January of 09 and are getting ready to sail her again :) The ship is big and the layout is nice - I prefer this type of ship (although as long as i am on a ship, I would never complain) The cabins are comparative to RCCL yet the food is a bit less than RCCL - we did have dinner in the steak house and it was wonderful. We will most likely do that again on this trip. Any specific questions or concerns....
pungo3 Posted October 24, 2010 #8 Share Posted October 24, 2010 I LOVED the Freedom when I sailed her. I had one of the cabins with the extended balcony and it was great!!!!! It's been a while, so I'm sure the staff has changed, but they were wonderful as well. I'm sure you'll enjoy the Freedom. I hope you have a terrific cruise.:D
SMSACE6 Posted October 24, 2010 #9 Share Posted October 24, 2010 I did the 8 day western cruise on the Freedom, last week of September. The ship is lovely. She is the same layout as other Conquest class ships, and I thought that my last year's cruise on the Liberty could not be outdone, but the Freedom did this. I still love the Liberty, but the Freedom was sooo good in soooo many ways, I could go on and on. The food in the Main dining room at dinner time was fantastic, and my servers were the best team ever! Buffet was not bad either, and I am not a fan of buffet food, but it was quite decent and varied. I loved the Tandoor grille also. The Serenity deck is a blessing! The shows were very good, especially Ticket to Ride. Just a great ship!:)
Name Of The Game Posted October 24, 2010 #10 Share Posted October 24, 2010 Just got back from the Freedom yesterday. It was awesome! The food was best on any ship I've been on and the fun staff was indeed...fun!
dstone Posted October 24, 2010 #11 Share Posted October 24, 2010 Was on the freedom last April and it was great. No complaints only compliments! The food was very good and the service was exceptional - but that could be different now, but I doubt it. Have fun!
Mrs.C05 Posted October 24, 2010 #12 Share Posted October 24, 2010 I can't wait to go on this ship! We were suppose to go on it Feb. '10 but got canceled due to unforseen circumstances, but we rebooked for Feb. '11 with a clean bill of health! Yay! Big celebration!
