We were on the Dream Jan.2010 and loved it. Even though there was no sail away party because the ship was covered with ice, only sun for about 4 hours during the 7 days, too windy to use waterslide, highest temp. about 74 degrees. You get the idea - but we still loved the cruise and the ship. Have a blast!

Cruised on the Dream last December. We are going again for Nov. 27 this year and we are bringing 4 new cruisers to Carnival. That should tell you how much we enjoyed the Dream.

Do not miss the production show Dancin' in the Streets...best show we have seen out of 23 cruises on any line!

There have been a lot of positive reviews and if you read the negative ones, a lot of them have been very picky and not isolated to the Dream. Long lines in the buffet? It depends when you go. When have you been on a cruise and not seen lots of people lined up for food? We didn't have any issues as we chose our timing carefully or went to other areas not so crowded. Walk around...don't go to the 1st line you see when you enter the buffet area. The "smell" is way overblown, IMHO. It's a Monkey see, monkey do mentality. Some one mentioned it in earlier reviews and now everyone goes on the Dream looking for it. Do most people do that on other ships? We have smelled something on a lot of cruises but it's a passing smell...now you smell it, now you don't. I personally am very sensitive to smells and odors. Never had an issue on the Dream.

Go with a positive attitude! That is the best thing you can bring with you on a cruise, any cruise. Enjoy your cruise!:)

Sailed on The Dream in June. Really had a wonderful time. It felt a little crowded in the beginning of the week; but as the week went on, people got used to the layout and found their favorite spots. It didn't seem as crowded then. Lucky you....enjoy your cruise.

We are set for the Dec. cruise, but I have not read a lot of positive notes about the Dream ship. Anyone been on it and have good news?:D

Just got back from the October 16th Western Caribbean itinerary. The Dream is now my favorite Carnival ship.

The decor is low key (for a cruise ship) and everything is new and clean. I thought it was the best Carnival food I've experienced (in 9 cruises). I loved all the alternative spots like the Lanai barbeque and the Pasta Bar, oh and the deli sandwiches. Carnival's burgers are great!

I was a little disappointed in the lead singers in the Encore shows, but loved the addition of the comedy venue every evening. During our 7 day cruise there were 4 different comics so plenty of options. The casino dealers were all friendly. Cruise director Josh was fine.

I'm not a pool person so had no problem finding plenty of lounge chairs around the ship. I liked the fact that many of them had shade, too. The Serenity spot up top was great.

The only negative to my trip was having a noisy room (chairs scrapping on Lido Deck 10 all night long as crew cleaned, we assumed, were so loud in our balacony room below on deck 8 that we couldn't sleep). We complained and Guest Services offered to move us to another room, and it was taken care of very well, I thought. You might want to take that into consideration when picking a room. Our cabin # was 8324.

But, in a nutshell, the Dream is a dream! Go for it!

We had a wonderful cruise on the Dream! No bad smells, great food, friendly people, only negative for us, which had nothing to do with the ship, was our son and now daughter in law got married the evening of the only day we had rain and it was on the beach. They were great troopers and took everything in stride, best part is to look at the pics you wouldnt know it was raining like it was....we also did the Chefs Table and it was amazing!!!!!!!!!!! We had a balcony cabin which on deck 11 spa, no smoking allowed at all..it was wonderful and quiet too! It did get a bit crowded at times, but in July that is to be expected. Go on your cruise with an open mind and have the time of your life, just remember nothing in this world is perfect, but it can come darn close!! We are off on another carnival cruise come may...we prefer the time of year when there arent so many kids since ours are almost all grown up and in college

We are going on the Dream in January and I too look for good reviews. The only thing that I fear for our trip is the weather. January weather can be either way I believe. Would love to hear from others who go that time of year.

We just got Back from our 'Dream', and it was amazing. The crowded Lido buffets were a myth. We didn't wait in line for a table or for food any longer than we did on the Miracle. In fact, I think the lines were smaller. We did 3 non Carnival excursions which saved us money. The Dream was a beautiful ship and we saw all of the shows. We really had a great time. I'd go again if they change the itineraries.

We were on the Dream in February 2010 and had a wonderful cruise! Did not notice any 'smells' more than any other ships and the lines were not really any longer either. The only exception might be the line for the Mongolian Wok but that is because the food is made to order and IMHO well worth a slightly longer wait! Service was exceptional! If anybody is on the Lido deck and sees Gus, Ben or Made, ask them for a cherry on your bucket of beer:D

I think most people who post the bad reviews are just complainers. Things may go wrong occasionally but YOU ARE ON A CRUISE! It is what you make it! ( and I have yet to have a bad cruise!)

ENJOY THE DREAM! She is a beautiful ship!

We were on the Dream in August and it is beautiful. Unfortunately there were so many kids I found it a little overwhelming. Need I tell you we were traveling with two school age children also. The dining opportunities were fantastic be sure to hit the Pasta Bar. Of course it's so new and like most Carnival ships always being cleaned. Never noticed any odor issues. You'll have a wonderful time.

My group of 8 cruised on the Oct 2 Western sailing. I was in balcony room 8292 and heard very little noise. Occasionally people walking back to their rooms were talking a little loud but did not bother us. Also smelled the smell several times but was definitely not a deal breaker to any of us. It is a beautiful ship, the crew was very friendly and it did not really seem to be any more crowded that some of the other ships I have been on. The Splendor is my favorite ship though.

We were on the Dream in April for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it! Most people who cruise, and have no issues and enjoy their cruise, do not come back and post reviews. Hence, those that have a bad time for some reason usually post. I would go back in a heart beat!

I cannot WAIT to cruise Carnival Dream again. What a wonderful ship and such a GREAT time. We found the ship particularly UNcrowded feeling. We had longer lines on Destiny a couple years ago.

Don't worry about all that junk. You're on vacation. There's plenty of room for everyone and there's so much to see and do.

I did a review for our cruise on 9-18-10; LOTS of pictures of the ship if you are interested.

Carnival Dream is now our favorite Carnival ship. Don't miss the steakhouse... the food was incredible!
