Thanksgiving cruises?

My husband, MIL, and SIL are sailing on Radiance Thanksgiving week. I read on the RCI website that a traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be offered in the dining room but am wondering what other special activities might be offered. Will the ship be decorated for Christmas yet, or fall decorations?

The ship was being decorated for Christmas on our Thanksgiving cruise, but that was a Carnival one... unsure if that will make a difference.

 

Thanksgiving cruises are wonderful... great food and no dishes to do!

I actually broke it on the ship. Third day into a 10 day cruise. :mad: NOT fun!!!

If you want to see Christmas decorations, just go to Lowe's or Home Depot. They have had all that stuff out for over a month now...

The difference is at Lowes and Home Depot its not going to be 80 degrees outside and its not the carribean. :D

Hi all,

We have been on RCCL for Thanksgiving a few times - I gotta say, you will be disappointed with the turkey - it's a pressed turkey roll, but the sides are still delicious!

We did a cruise on Radiance last year which began on November 30th which was 4 days after Thanksgiving and the tree was up when we boarded along with other decorations throughout the Centrum area.

 

They were working on putting together the Ginger Bread Display with the electric train which was located on Deck 6 after we boarded. It was really beautiful, though the train was shut down to a malfunction.

We are cruising the Oasis the week after thanksgiving this year. Is it any less packed than a regular week in cruising?
