PIR8LUVR Posted October 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2010 Has anyone had to request a beach wheelchair? If so, was there an extra charge? I broke my foot about 3 weeks ago. I will have my hardcast removed a few days before the trip, just beyond the 5 week point. My podiatrist will put me in a soft, removable cast for the trip but still doesn't want me walking on it. I submitted my special needs request form with RCI, but haven't hear anything back yet. Thanks!

Merion_Mom Posted October 30, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2010 Your ports are not private Royal Caribbean beaches. I do not believe that RC has anything to do with what you choose to do in Costa Maya or in Cozumel.
ryano Posted October 31, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2010 If you were going to Coco Cay there would be no extra charge. They are first come first serve. I was just doing some research and Chankanaab Park in Cozumel has two beach wheelchairs available (first come first serve) and its included in your park entrance fee. No idea about Costa Maya. Im going there in February but do not plan on going to the beach. Best of luck and have a great cruise! You may wanna ask this on the disabled cruising forum here :)
