Cabin Selection on Liberty of the Seas

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

We recently booked our first cruise on RCI. We always prefer aft facing cabins. Looking at the deck plans cabin 1700 (D1) has a different layout than 1702 which is the cabin we currently have booked. Can anyone comment on the cabin layout and how obstructed is the balcony view? The balcony looks big on the deck plan but the pics look like it is closed off on the side.

Trying to decide whether to switch, any help would be appreciated.

1702 is a standard "shaped" cabin....1700 has the same sq.. footage, but it's wider, and less deep. The balcony on 1700 will be bigger. Either way, you will enjoy your space!

Both balconies are equally "obstructed", in that the superstructure of the ship does extend beyound your balcony, so don't expect to stand at the rear railing and look down to the ocean...it ain't happenin', Capt'n! You will look outward for a full view of the wake.

That cabin is not available for your cruise.

But it's a great cabin.

By the way, did you make your cruise countdown calendar for the day you leave home? There is no Liberty cruise on May 22. It's on May 23.

Thanks everyone... this was a big help. We switched to 1700, I like the squared off cabin. We like to be able to sit on the balcony and see the wake, not being able to look down is not a biggy for us.

Thanks for catching the countdown, always used to Saturday departures...:D

Thanks again,,, Happy Cruising.
