FLL - What to do with kids for a day

Hi All

 

What are the best things to do in FLL in a day. We arrive in FLL on Friday Dec 3 around 4pm which is our travel day and staying in Hyatt Place (located on SE 10th and SE 17th). Friday we plan to grab a bite for dinner, go to publix to get some snacks then to Total Wine to get some wine for our Cruise leaving Sunday Dec 5. So, my DH, 2 kids (6 and 2) and I were thinking of going to Sawgrass Mills for the day, but we figured this is our third time to FLL and have not seen any sites. So we have all day Saturday Dec 4th free. What do you think is best to see in FLL for myself, DH and 2 kids, we are not renting a car.

Without a car, how did you plan to get to Sawgrass Mills and back?

Great things for kids are:

beach (2 miles)

Boomers (5 miles?)

Wannado City and Rainforest Cafe at Sawgrass (25 miles?)

Make your own pizza at Bellinis (5 miles)
