cruizer2d Posted November 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2010 All I'm reading on the boards is that the slots on the Epic are extremely tight. Does this mean NOBODY won anything?? Please let us CSG's (Cruise Ship Gamblers :)) hear your experience on the slots--good and bad. Amount you played, won or lost, winners near you!!-whatever you'd like to share will be read and appreciated.

Us2inFL Posted November 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2010 About slots on NCL in general: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1286099 We were on two week Epic a few weeks ago. On the $1 Wheel of Fortune, within a few pulls was up at $950. Cashed out at $800. Played the same dollar slot 20 here 20 there, didn't win. Second week, played same machine and within minutes had over $650, played it down to $500 and cashed out.

Someone hits big... maybe you or one of your gang. Haven't been on the Epic, but had a real good run on the Norway in 1986 - won enough to pay for the entire cruise (including extras). guyver Posted November 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2010 I find the slots to be extremely tight on all of the ships I have been on. I have spent quite a few hours in there and I don't recall ever seeing anybody hit a jackpot. This gets discouraging because whenever I am in land based casinos there are bells and lights flashing pretty much constantly. Hopefully it is just me that is jinxed but these are my experiences. KandJCruising Posted November 12, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Our slot pull get together played probably $300 and cashed out at $150. I used the NCL slot coupon (pay $10, get $20 card) right after and was up to $25 and cashed out at $15 by the time I used the credit on the card. Overall I broke even on the slots but didn't spend much either.

sdmike Posted November 13, 2010 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2010 My mother won a couple hundred dollars, far less than her normal take in Atlantic City. :)
erdoran Posted November 13, 2010 #10 Share Posted November 13, 2010 Well dang! We did a slot pull on Epics Wheel of Fortune and it sucked! Lost everything... We did a very little bit better on the Epic TA -each of us put in $21 and we got $6 when we were done. I had even posted a thread about it and got gang-flamed "gambler loses & complains" was the general consensus. I was surprised that so many pulls and so much money--I think 600-700 pulls and about $2100--had such a poor return. I know statistics work over millions of pulls--but the rumblings on the board about tight slots are interesting...
dshanesmom Posted November 13, 2010 #11 Share Posted November 13, 2010 We were on Epic last week of July and I won at least 250 dollars on quarter machines (that I doubled or tripled). My dad was also playing that night and won over 400 on dollar slot machines. Not sure if he hit the double button too. He lost it all after that but I made sure to leave with 200. It paid for my spa treatment. We played almost every night for about 15 minutes but won towards the end of cruise.
Rochesterboatingdotcom Posted November 13, 2010 #12 Share Posted November 13, 2010 On the Oct 2 Epic cruise, we had 14 people in on our slot pull, buy in was $21, we each ended up with $24. A big $3 win! However, the casino manager did give us 3 t-shirts as prizes for the three highest winners. It was a good time.
