Short day in Nassau, what to do? (with a baby)

I'm hoping that you all can give me some suggestions please. We will be in Nassau for a short day (7 am to 3 pm). For such a limited time, I'm not so sure it's cost effective to go to Atlantis. We will have our 8 month old baby with us, so I'm looking for something to do other than walking around the straw market, etc.

Suggestions please? Thanks!

Last time we were in Nassau we got a day pass to the Sheraton for $99. It included use of a hotel room and the beach/pool for up to 4 people. We had our 3 year old with us and it worked out great. There ore other hotels that offer day passes without the use of a room and that might work for you too. I would not spend the money on Atlantis with a baby. I've been and it is fun but it is also expensive and you wouldn't be able to make the most of it while caring for the little one.

Just got back last week - a day room is $100 for 2 people, additional cost extra. Day passes (no room) are $25 for adults, $12.50 for children, I don't know about babies.

I don't think "Atlantis" is "cost-effective" any time! That's alot to spend to swim! However, there's no charge to go to the hotel, and wander the shops, eat in the restaurants or play in the casino (but you can't do that with a child!!!)....taxi fare will get you there!

Also, on a port day, the ship is a lovely, uncrowded place...we usually use Nassau as a "sea day"...it's like our own, private yacht!
