amonkeybutt Posted November 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2010 Sounds like from some of the posts that my 2nd night on Eurodam's E Car. cruise is going to be a formal night. Does that cover Tamarind too?
Jemima Posted November 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2010 Yes, the Tamarind and the Pinnacle are formal on formal nights. The Lido is not and Cannelettos also is not, but dress there varies.

AZNative2000 Posted November 25, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 25, 2010 No, not in the Lido or Canaletto. While it was not required, we went to the Canaletto on Zuiderdam last week on a formal night ... dressed formally ... and nobody complained.:):)

jena1 Posted November 25, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 25, 2010 Cannalleto is free but you have to make reservations once onboard. Happy Thanksgiving!:):):)
Jemima Posted November 25, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 25, 2010 No charge for Canaletto. Based on Canaletto's on three HAL ships, people tend to dress smart casual there on all evenings. On smart casual evenings, you'll see everything in Canalettos from just below smart casual to dressy smart casual. On formal evenings, probably smart casual and a few formal. Happy Thanksgiving!:):):) You will want to do it as soon as you board. We waited a couple of days and there were no reservations to be had during the cruise. Marlster Posted November 26, 2010 #10 Share Posted November 26, 2010 Is there a Canalettos on the Amsterdam?
catl331 Posted November 26, 2010 #11 Share Posted November 26, 2010 No, not in the Lido or Canaletto. It's just not enforced there. You'll not find anything from HAL excluding any part of the ship. Is there a Canalettos on the Amsterdam?Yes - port side, near center elevators:http://www.hollandamerica.com/main/DeckPlansFull.action?ship=am&deck=l
Cruising-along Posted November 26, 2010 #12 Share Posted November 26, 2010 It's just not enforced there. You'll not find anything from HAL excluding any part of the ship....... Well,....yes. Nothing from HAL in writing that I can find. And yet, the Lido is in truth where you will find PAX dressed smart casual on formal nights. And if they choose to dine formally in the Lido, nobody will stop them. It is also where posters on this board are directed ever so gently to dine when they don't plan to dress accordingly for the MDR. The Lido, grill, Canelleto and room service are the only other options for them.
