LaWeezy Posted November 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2010 I remember seeing a thread/post of some pics of Nacchi Cocum, now I can't find it! Did I dream this or does someone know where I would find these pics?
Irishlinny Posted November 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2010 Here are a few we took. If you google Nachi Cocom photos, you will find a whole bunch! Be sure to spell it like I did;) We enjoyed it there!
Moon Orchid Posted November 27, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 27, 2010 Great pictures, thanks for sharing! Do we get to choose which palapa we would like to sit under, or do they tell us which one we get?
kitcatsz Posted November 27, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2010 They have always "escorted" us to the seating. On one occasion, we asked to move and they had no problem allowing it. They are very laid back here. One suggestion: if you have a favorite driink, bring the recipe with you and they will try their best to make it. Someone in our group really wanted a Bushwacker but they didn't know how to make it. Once given the recipe, they were flowing all day long! Irishlinny Posted November 27, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 27, 2010 Yes, they escorted us there as well. We were fairly far from the pool, which turned out to be a good thing because there was a party of folks in the pool & hot tub all day who were really partying. One woman was so loud we could hear her where we were:eek: Needless to say, the further away that day, the better! I'm sure if you don't like your location, they would do their best to accommodate you, though. They just try to keep the people evenly distributed amongst the waiters (who work very hard, I might add...no way would I want to be hoofing back and forth across the sand all day like that!). holdon216 Posted November 28, 2010 #10 Share Posted November 28, 2010 Is there enough to do at Nachi for a 14 year old boy? Going next July. Could someone tell me a bit more. Is there an open menu to order from? Drinks and food are all included in the 50.00 price?? Is anything extra? How much is the cab ride there and how far is it? Any snorkeling to be had? Could use some more info...Please :)
Irishlinny Posted November 28, 2010 #11 Share Posted November 28, 2010 There are additional activities which can be chosen (additional fees) if the beach, pool and hot tub are not enough for him. While we saw some kids there (who seemed to be happy), the place is not designed for kids with the big inflatable water toys, etc. Around noontime they bring you menus to choose what you want to eat. You pick an appetizer or soup or salad, a main course and a dessert. They then bring the food to you (or you can eat at their open air restaurant area). They had a good variety and the food was good. We were stuffed and didn't order dessert. Drinks (alcoholic or not) are all included as well...they will make whatever you ask for. You can rent snorkels, I believe. I didn't notice alot of fish around the swimming area, but maybe there is an area where there are more (possibly near the dock or something). The taxi is $15 (plus we tipped a couple of dollars). When you want to leave, if a taxi is not right there, they will call one which arrives in minutes. It's a 10-15 minute ride from the port. Here is a link to their website... http://www.cozumelnachicocom.net/

Our 9 year old loved it. for a 14 yo...it depends on how active they want to be, or whether they like chilling out. There is a watersports vendor at Nachi. These are additional fees, but there is parasailing, kayaking, snorkeling, and jetskis. We rented jetskis ($60 for 30 minutes). We didn't do the snorkeling tour (it's a hour, you go out on a boat out to the reefs). But we snorkeled from shore. Its mostly sandy, so not many fish, but we found a few corals and around them were fish and lobsters.

I can't believe that we were this close to each other but never met. I mean we had the cabin a floor below you and went to the same beach and still didn't meet! But on the plus side my 31 gifts tote bag looks great in the picture. To add I didn't realize that he was in the first picture to. I will have to tell him that he is famous. He will think it is great.

Darn!!! Wish we had known that was you! I felt bad that we missed the Meet on aft Lido (too enthralled with our balcony, I guess! LOL!), so we only met Kim & Mike part way thru the cruise, and we had met Jamie & Joe at the port in Tampa. Oh well...mayabe we'll sail together again one day!;) Glad I could give him his 15 minutes of fame!:p

My brother and I will be there in a couple week's when the Inspiration makes a stop in Cozumel. Nothing better than sitting on a beach, sippin a mojito, with not a care in the world :D
kitcatsz Posted November 30, 2010 #20 Share Posted November 30, 2010 They will definitely try to make the Mojito... the muddled mint might be a problem, not sure. They definitely will try to make anything! Have the basic recipe just in case they need it but I can't imagine they don't know how to make Mojito's! We started our day off with Bloody Mary's, progressed to Screwdrivers, moved to Beer, and ended up with Bushwackers. They even gave us a bottle of water to go. Someone else mentioned it earlier and I think it is worth repeating.... the bartenders at the swim up pool (they also make the drinks the waiters bring out to you) are not talkative and come across as not friendly. After an hour, we finally had them somewhat smiling. My guess is that they know most people gave a tip to the waiter and they weren't getting anything. Don't let them put you off and have you thinking that Nachi is rude (IT IS NOT! :) ). We only used the pool the last hour of our stay.
