Is Eden Roc in Miami too adult?

We have booked a pre-night in Miami at Eden Roc Renaissance. We are a couple traveling with our 4.5 year old son. Is this hotel too "adult?" Should we change to something more family-friendly? We want to be on the beach. Our cruise line didn't have any openings at the Marriott Courtyard Miami Beach, which was our first choice.

Perhaps I should have worded my question differently. I am not worried about this being an "adult" place in terms of "questionable nightlife."

I am wondering, though, if my four-year-old son would be welcome at the pool, or, is this more of a grown-up/couples type of place? Is there easy access to the beach? Are there casual eating places near the hotel? My son is well-supervised and is removed immediately if his behavior goes south, but I just want to know if families generally feel comfortable at this hotel.
