Saving Certificates - Did they do it?

Recommended Posts

I did do a search before asking this:

I got $125 off our cruise with the C&A Saving Certificates.

I printed it out sent it in, about 2 weeks ago.

I think they applied it,

but it is not listed anywhere on the page.

Do they list it under payments, or what.

I think we owe them less.

Now no flaming about printing up your account everyday,

or when we make changes, but I didn't.

How can I tell when they apply them?

For some reason some credits do not show up when you check your reservations on-line. I would call C&A and ask them to e-mail you an updated invoice. That should show your credit and the total amount of the outstanding balance.

Request another Confirmation Invoice from RCI. On the invoice, under "Booking Charges", will be a code "CERT CODE SAVINGS" and I believe the amount and that will indicate that the C&A Savings Certificate was applied to your booking.

You should be able to tell - your final payment amount should be reduced by $125.00.

Not using a TA, and can not tell you what my last balance is.

We have book excursions, and one was cancelled,

so we booked another, so much information.

But nothing telling me $125 credit, or anything for $125.

Here is what I see:

Cruise Fare*

Guest 1 $1,849.00 USD

Guest 2 $1,849.00 USD

Guest 3 $499.00 USD

Guest 4 $499.00 USD

Subtotal $4,696.00 USD

Optional Items*

Pre-Cruise Planner $519.00 USD

Other Options $-131.12 USD

Total $387.88 USD

Payment History*

01-Jul-2010 $1,000.00 USD

06-Aug-2010 $312.00 USD

11-Oct-2010 $297.00 USD

11-Oct-2010 $222.00 USD

19-Jun-2010 $1,000.00 USD

Balance Due* $2,885.56 USD

Summary*

Cruise Fare $4,696.00 USD

Optional Items $387.88 USD

Taxes/Fees $320.68 USD

TOTAL* $5,404.56 USD

that is your history on the website, that won't show it , you need an actual invoice and you need to call to obtain that. Call and they will email it to you.

Why would the invoice be different than this???

Because it shows things like saving certificates, obc from some sources, etc that does not show on the website. As for the why, no clue why they chose to set it up like that, but they did!

If I long into my account on RCI's website, view my reservation, click on PAYMENTS....my savings certificate shows up as -$50.00 under "Optional Items". It does not say that it is the savings certificate but that is the only thing it can be.
