Are shorts and sandles appropriate for lunch in the Pinnacle and Tamarind?

I've seen people turned away from the Pinnacle at lunch when wearing shorts. Others report, it's fine. With HAL you never know. Can't help you with the Tamarind as I haven't been on the ships that have one yet.

The couple of times that we have had lunch at the Pinnacle or the Tamarind I wore a skirt and sleeveless blouse.

 

I did not see any women wearing shorts in either restaurant.

We were poolside when we made a last minute decision to have lunch there.

Our cabana steward made the reservation for us, and we went up in beach coverup for me, and t-shirt over long bathing trunks for my husband.

I had worried about that attire and was assured we would be fine.

We were.

There were others dressed like us, and some wearing shorts and shirts, some in slacks and polos.... whatever people wore was fine, and nobody looked or felt out of place. Certainly DH and I didn't.

We very recently had lunch in the PG. I was wearing capris and a tee and DH was wearing walking shorts and a tee. No problem at all. Now dinner is a different story.
