hannibal54 Posted December 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2010 I have some friends taking their first cruise in Feb., they are looking for a hotel that has a shuttle from FLL. They are also wanted a shuttle to the ship in Fort Lauderdale's port. Any good tips? Thanks.
CruiserBruce Posted December 14, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2010 Good tips? Read all the threads and comments here about hotels in FLL. There aren't many with free shuttles anymore, but a search will help you there.

Springfield Suites is still coming up for $69 next April. depending on their dates, they may do better or worse. Go to betterbidding.com to get tips for priceline and hotwire. it will be easy to find good hotels with free FLL shuttles; harder to find free shuttles to port. many hotels near FLL/port charge $8 or so for a shuttle, so if there are 2 or more people, costs the same to take a cab and it will be faster. Good luck ML

Comfortable accommodations, free breakfast buffet in the morning, heated pool. Shopping center across the road with restaurants and a Publix grocery if they are interested in beverages/snacks for the ship. Also a Walgreen's next to the hotel for any pharmacy items they may need, like sunscreen or things like camera batteries, etc. at the last minute. There was a shuttle from the airport and a shuttle to the port. www.sleepinn.com/hotel-dania-florida-FL664
