Because people keep posting about how many elite benefits are being cut, when in reality the cuts have been pretty small in the scope of overall Elite benefits and have mostly occurred as with the Internet because the program has changed making the benefit it its existing form obsolete.  As with the Internet change another benefit was actually added (the 10% excursion rebate).

 

Over all the changes to the Elite benefits have been pretty minor in the over all scope. Certainly they have not been recent. The largest cut, which was actually not an Elite benefit was the removal of the loyalty OBC benefit, which while one certainly had to be Elite to get it, was a different independent offering.

 

Maybe Princess does not value the Elite benefits anymore, because those that receive them keep complaining about how large the cuts are even when they are not.

Today, the stock closed above $12 a share.  It hasn't been this high in a while.  Still a long way to go to get to pre-pandemic price!
