Photos of Ventura

Hi, all,

 

RC cruiser here, but I took some photos of Ventura when she shared a couple of ports with us (Serenade of the Seas) a couple of weeks ago, and thought you all might enjoy them.

 

St. John's, Antigua (Ventura arrived as we were enjoying breakfast in the open-air section of our buffet):

And in Dominica, where we were docked at the industrial dock, while Ventura got the "prime" spot downtown!

Great photos and I love the way ships 'park' in St Johns main St.

 

BTW, there's nothing prime about the dock area of Dominica. Lovely island though.

Gorgeous photos thanks. It's fascinating watching another cruise ship come into port isn't it? Did you enjoy your cruise?

How cool, and to make it special we were on the Ventura when you took those pics, also I did notice your ship berthed around the corner in

Dominica.

 

My god did it rain that day in Antigua, all a distant memory now, many thanks for the pics.

Great photos of a great ship, but, boy, did it rain in Antigua!

 

In fact, we had rain on and off for the first week but it did not detract from the enjoyme nt of our holiday afloat.

Yep, it did pour that morning in Antigua! My daughter didn't mind, though:

 

 

 

We did Eli's Eco Tour, and the crew promised we would find the sun, which we did:

 

 

 

We also had rain in Grenada two days later, but that was it, and we still had fun:

 

 

 

We had a GREAT cruise! Our first time to the Southern Caribbean, and I am sure it will not be our last.

The 2 times we have been in Dominica we have sat on the ship looking at the island as people were returning and a fine rain ame over producing the most fantastic rainbows you could see.

What camera did you use to take the pictures?

 

The ones from our ship were with my Nikon D5000 DSLR. The ones from the dock are with a Sony TX-5, which I got for this trip and absolutely love as a travel camera!
