Is there a card playing area on the Statendam?

We also enjoy playing cards, especially on days at sea. HAL's card rooms are just one more reason we enjoy sailing HAL ships. The card rooms over on NCL, Carnival and some of the others are sometimes almost non-existant.

There is normally a notice in the daily program about card players meeting in the morning and afternoon. If you play in the designated room and time, the ship provides cards, bridge score sheets and tallies, coffee and tea. However, there are so many public areas with tables suitable for four people, you will see people at other times and in other parts of the ship playing cards. The casino sells "used" (they still look very new) cards for $1 a deck if you don't want to bring your own.
