istanbul to venice

We stayed for three nights at the Sirkeci Konak two years ago, and also loved it. The rooms are nice, but nothing all that special, but the staff and service are fantastic. One tram stop or 10 minutes walk to Sultanahmet Square.

We now have stayed twice at Al Ponte Mocenigo, once four years ago and once in late April 2010. The co-owners are wonderful, friendly, helpful people, only 50 flat yards walk from the St. Stae vaporetto stop, lovely courtyard breakfast, away from the craziness of San Marco, but a nice walk (and even nicer Grand Canal vaporetto ride)! Ranked #2 on sister website tripadvisor for the past couple of years. Very reasonably priced for Venice.

We also were there in May. Good time of year!!We stayed at Tash Konakicon14.gif.icon14.gif Were very pleased with the hotel, staff, price, location and airport pickup. Also, on a whim booked Backpackers tours, 2 half day and one river tour..Our guide, named Deleit (sp?) was a gem.icon7.gif..Check out website turkeytravelplanner.com for excellent advise..Istanbul is awesome!!!

going on this cruise in may and would like some hotel suggestions for istanbul, we plan on arriving 3 days before the cruise

thx.

We were on this cruise in October 2010. We loved the Witt Istanbul Suites. Great staff and huge rooms. If you are looking for a hotel in Venice - we also loved the Antiche Figure - near the train station and on the grand hotel
