hoopiehippie Posted January 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2011 Are there still Harley shops on each of these islands and how easy are they to get to from where Princess docks. Any idea regarding directions to get to them?:)
SkyMaster Posted January 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2011 There are "Harley Shops" on both islands, but I think you'll find that they are nothing more than "T-Shirt/Souvenir" shops, with perhaps one actual bike. The one on St. Thomas is right downtown, as I recall, and I don't think I've ever been to the on is St. Marteen. If you ask anyone, when you leave the ship, it's safe to bet that they can point you in the right direction. (You can most likely get "Harley" shirts at almost any T-Shirt shop as well, if you don't particularly want to hunt out the "Harley Shop". Good luck, have a GREAT cruise, and keep the shiny side up. On St. Maarten there is a Harley Davidson shop/dealership on the road heading over to the Marigot, French side of St. Maarten. They also do rentals. Get in a taxi and tell the taxi driver where you want to go. Keep the shinny side up and the rubber side down.

Rick03Ultra Posted January 5, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2011 We were there in December and the Harley store is open under new management. It's in Downtown Charlotte Amalie. It is on the main road by the waterfront.

Any idea regarding directions to get to them?:) This link shows the location of the St. Thomas store - http://wavepowermedia.com/VI/St%20Thomas/Harley+Davidson+USVI+St+Thomas-Y60773 This info is from 2008 and may not be current. The web site that was supposed to be associated with this shop (www.h-dstthomas.com) is now listed as “under construction”. It's supposed to be at the same address as the Hard Rock Cafe. UPDATE - see this site: http://www.nileguide.com/destination/st-thomas/things-to-do/harley-davidson/1357786 Here is the link to the St. Martin store - http://www.h-dstmartin.com/ and it is not located near the dock. If you do a google maps search for it, use -Union Rd, Cole Bay, St Maarten, Netherlands Antilles Enjoy!
Mysanity Posted January 5, 2011 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2011 Are there still Harley shops on each of these islands and how easy are they to get to from where Princess docks. Any idea regarding directions to get to them?:) There is a Harley Shop in St Marteen. It's a full shop with bikes, service and t-shirts. The one in St Thomas just reopened in November 2010 and it is strictly a T-shirt shop but they have a really good selection at better prices than St Marteen. Any taxi driver knows how to get you to the St Marteen shop and the St Thomas shop is right downtown on the waterfront. hope this helps.
O2B@Cagain Posted January 5, 2011 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2011 The new Harley store is on the waterfront in the space that held Local Color and Tradewinds. Local Color moved east down the street a few spaces, Tradewinds is gone.
