Can anyone tell me if you can use the shareholder benefit or the the thanks for sailing discount if you book on the Tues sales event.

You should have no trouble using the shareholders .. if you are not using another discount, such as the dimaond balcony .. or whatever. You can only use one usually.

I don't believe any discount is combinable with a Tues Sales Event....I know for sure the Diamond discounts don't apply.

Yes the Sales event pricing is combinable with Stockholder obc. We combined on Radiance last month and are going again on 1/22 using sales event pricing and stockholder obc. I used to get a next cruise open booking when onboard but since it combines with almost nothing I no longer purchase one.
