"Senic Cruising"

You will enter Glacier Bay around 6am, sail to Margerie Glacier, turn around and come back, exiting the bay around 3pm, passing numerous other glaciers along the way. A Park Ranger will hop on board at the mouth of the bay and will narrate your passage, pointing out the glaciers and wildlife. Make sure you get a good spot on deck if you don't have a balcony. It doesn't matter which side of the ship you're on, because you return the same way you went in. IMHO, Glacier Bay was the best day of our Alaskan cruise, and I'll never forget it.

Every person should have their own set of binoculars. This is not a good day to share!:) Hat, gloves, scarf, long underwear, knee socks, and chapstick. You won't know whether to use camera or binocs b/c you won't want to miss a second! The ranger is excellent and you'll see a lot of wildlife cruising into and out of glacier bay. We saw a bear feeding on a whale carcass.
