Future Cruise Discounts purchased onboard

We are cruising on Carnival tomorrow. We are already looking to book a cruise for next year.

Does anyone know if carnival gives you a discount or other incentives if you put a deposit on a future cruise while you are onboard?

Just happen to have this close. This is what got on the Freedom in early Dec.

You get a voucher for onboard credit and 2 vouchers for family and friends for the same onboard credit if you book onboard. If you are unsure of dates but know you will sail sometime in the near future, you can buy a future cruise credit which is just the voucher for onboard credit for yourself but no family/friend vouchures.

When all is said and done, you end up with the OBC. The $100.00 is a wash. Still a good deal if you know you will be cruising with Carnival again.
